Lotus Armor of the Buddhas

Casting Time: 1 Hour
Level: Varies (minimum 1)
Available To: Bukkyo; Shugendo

Description: While chanting, the priest writes out the Lotus Sutra on the spell recipient's body, covering him in the script. If the prayer is successful, the recipient is protected by the power of the Buddhas, conferring 3KD per LoS against ALL attacks. Furthermore, all damage incurred from attacks by demons or evil spirits is reduced by 25% per 2 levels of the spell, to a maximum of 75%. These effects will only work when the recipient is unarmored, trusting in the powers of the Buddhas to protect him. Also note that the effects of multiple uses of the Lotus Armor are not cumulative; after each casting, the recipient must be washed clean before the Sutra can be written down again. Only the most recent one is used.

The duration of the spell is set, regardless of its level. The effects will last one full day, or until the ink is washed clean in a proper bath. It is important to note that this ink will remain unmarred, even when submerged in water, unless purposely scrubbed off by the Caster, the spell recipient, or a Priest (of any faith) with a PIE of 5 or higher.
