Popped a new Fuzion character sheet into the Homebrew section. The sheet is available with everyman skills listed, and without the everyman skills printed on the sheet. This two-page Character Record Sheet is designed for use with the flavor of rules presented in R. Talsorian Games' Fuzion Core Rules book. Thus, it is fairly simple and straight forward, but much more useful (in my opinion) and aesthetically pleasing than the sheet in book.

R. Talsorian games finally released the Fuzion Core Rules... it's a slim, 8 dollar book with the Fuzion logo emblazoned across the cover. I'm not going to offer a review here, because there has been more than enough of that on the Fuzion Mailing List. In all, the book is worth the 8 dollars, offering a bound copy of the basic mechanics and several extremely simplistic plugins. Expect a series of short articles on making the core book useful to experienced fuzion gamers, though. With the commercial release of a new Fuzion book, my own attention has moved back to updating this site, and resuming projects that were put on hold awaiting the core book's release.

So, run out and buy the book... support Fuzion... save your colon the pain you would have given it had you spent that $8 on Fast Food like you were going to...

Yes, it has been a while. I don't have much to add right, except a few bits of information. The Fuzion Alliance has been created, and I am proud to be one of its constituent members. Lightspeed, a science fiction Fuzion RPG written by Christian Conkle is available. Victoriana continues its development, and the folks at Heresy games have some samples and previews available for download on their website. I spoke with Lisa Pondsmith of R. Talsorian Games when I was at Origins, and she indicated that she was striving for a Gen*Con release date for the Fuzion Core Book. No, there is no word on a release date for Cyberpunk v3, alas.

I'm hoping to begin a slow process of updating this site (and trying to find the various items I had that were going to be added). Terran Dusk has been put on hold, but it is not forgotten. Keep an eye toward the future.

Got an email from one of the folks at Heresy Gaming, the makers of the upcoming Victoriana RPG. With their permission, I'm reprinting the message:
Thank you for your comments in your news article, you may be pleased to know that the first preview download from Victoriana will be available at the end of may.

The mailing list is for release date news, there is already an excellent steampunk discussion forum on yahoo - there didnt seem much point in reinventing the wheel!

So, it looks like there's a bit of promise in the future.

I've begun to make a couple changes to the site. I reorganized the homebrew rules section, adding a bit of new stuff to it, too. You'll find a set of quick guidelines for using Fuzion characters in Reaper Miniatures' C.A.V. Wargame, and a link to my Terran Dusk Genetix races (nothing new, just now available off the TD:2261 site). I've deleted a couple of dead links from the Links page, as well.

Keep your eyes open, a new Fuzion web-zine is in the works, courtesy of Chris Weible and Bill Beane. Legend has it that Lisa Pondsmith of R. Talsorian Games was showing off the new FUZION core rulebook at the recent GAMA trade show, and I know that Gold Rush Games has a few products that should be coming soon, as well. Also, TheFuze is finally getting updated, after who-knows-how-fraggin-long. We've had a long pause, but Fuzion isn't dead... not by a long-shot.

It's rare when I stumble across something that excites me... but a few minutes ago, precisely that happened. I came upon Victoriana Online, a webpage dedicated to a Steampunk Fuzion game currently in development. They've secured a Fuzion liscence from R. Talsorian Games, and seem to moving right along toward a Dec 2002 release date. I've added a link for the Victoriana site on my LINKS page. There is a Victoriana mailing list at yahoogroups, as well. You can link to it HERE, but since they've only got one member, I don't know yet if they are planning on having discussions any time soon...

I've posted a write-up of the Hellesponte Compact on the Terran Dusk pages. This event was a joint piece of Terran and Orbital legislation that presented guidelines and restrictions on Human cloning technologies, and gives a peek inside the history of the enigmatic Morningstar Corporation.

Actually, I also finished a rather sizeable writeup on Morningstar Corporation itself, but i havent set it up as a webpage yet. It is by far the biggest of the Corp descriptions, so give me a bit of time, and the Morningstar will rise, too.

Alrighty... I just put up a description and history of the SkinTree NanoPlague, a rather nasty nano-virus in the world of Terran Dusk: 2261. It's something like a superior form of Leprosy, and it eventually devastated the whole of the South American continent.

Howdy Folks. It's been a couple of months, and I'm just posting a quick message to remind you that the site is still alive -- it's just hibernating for the winter.

I've added a new link, dealt with a change in webring service, and archived the news from 2001. Nothing new to add right now, though, but I'll be spending more time here soon. So keep watching, and one of these weeks you might see some content updates flying on through like a flying muffin.
